As we go into this week of Thanksgiving we are being bombarded with images of shopping and greed. Black Friday advertisements are all over the television, radio, print media and online. We are quickly approaching the season of Advent and we may become pulled into the secular illusion of what this time of year should look like in our lives. I know that I too will fall into this trap at times during the next month but I hope to keep most of my focus on the beauty of a baby’s birth. The baby who came to give us light, hope and a future.
I heard this song on the radio yesterday morning as I was driving into church and knew that I had to share it with someone. My hope is that you enjoy it as much as I and that it helps to keep you ‘grounded’ in what is really important this time of year and always.
