Bo sent out a question today regarding Sunday’s Relate service. Do we have to see God to know God? (Emphasis is mine.)
I listen to music almost all of the time. Music helps to soothe me, energize me and it helps me to keep my head together. So this morning as I’m reading Bo’s Relate material what song comes to mind but the one above. Here are just a few words from the song:
I just might bend but wont break
As long as I can see your face
When life wont play along
And right keeps going wrong
And I can’t seem to find my way
I know where I am found
So I won’t let it drag me down
Oh, I’ll keep dancing anyway
Do we have to see God to know God? How about if I reword the question. Does God have to see us to know us? How many times do we try to hide from God? Hide our face from Him because we are ashamed of things we have done or not done? How can God possibly love us when we do the things we do?
Do I see God? Everyday! God is everywhere I look. Sometimes I just choose not to open my eyes. Those are the times I don’t want Him to see me. But when I do see Him…that’s when I’m dancing! I’ll keep dancing when life won’t play along, when right goes wrong and when I can’t find my way. I might bend but I won’t break because I will see His face in my everyday moments. I pray that you can find Him in your everyday moments too.
